Enchanted stuff again...

Here is poor Amy Adams performing "Happy Working Song" with no backup and empty stage. What were they thinking? Nevertheless, she did great, and it was my favorite performance out of all three.

I confess, I didn't actually finish watching Kristen Chenoweth's performance. "That's How You'll Know" just didn't sound the same without the original singer :/

This is "So Close" as performed by Jon McLaughlin and danced by an Amy Adams look-alike and a Patrick Dempsey non-look-alike.

I was disappointed that "Enchanted" didn't win. But I do love the song that did win from "Once" and so I'm really glad they did get it. Overall, I guessed right all the big categories except best supporting actress. I don't know Tilda Swinton except from Chronicles of Narnia, but her acceptance speech was awesome.

Cute picture of Marion Cotillard and Forest Whitaker, back stage after she won.

Watch Cate Blancett's reaction to Marion's win at 3:30 -

And now for some baby animal pictures, which will always brighten a day :)

peace out.

Defying Gravity.

[EDIT] Ahh, I just saw that all three songs from Enchanted are nominated for Original Song!! More reason to record/watch the Oscars :)

I spend WAY too much time on youtube.

Misc.

- Enchanted news! So at the Oscars, Amy Adams will be performing "Happy Working Song", Kristen Chenoweth "That's How You Know", and Jess' favorite Jon Mclaughlin "So Close". I wish Amy Adams was performing THYK instead of HWS, but who knows, maybe she didn't want to. So tune in 2/24 (next sunday)! I'll be at a dinner, but you bet I'll be recording it!

And my favorite part in the whole movie...*bloop bloop bloop*

- So I saw the cutest/grossest thing at church today. There's this cute family of 4 kids (2 girls, 2 boys) that was sitting in the pew in front of me. I've seen then at church for all the 10 years I've been here, so I've seen them start with one girl and a baby boy. Then I went to college and hadn't really gone to my home parish for 4 years, and this year I was pretty surprised to see 4 kids. Anyway, the little girl, probably 3-4 y-o, was picking her nose. I guess she got something, cuz she reaches her finger out to her father and goes, "Daddy...". And without a word, her dad takes out a handkerchief and wipes off her finger. Kids are so cute.

This is ending up to be a very full post...

I *completely* forgot to mention that I finally watched the whole Conan/Colbert feud ending. And it was awesome. This is highest quality video of the fight I could find (short of the NBC version).

So I came across this video a couple days ago (Yes, I've been spending way too much time on YT). It's Adam Pascal singing a song on a kids cartoon, "The Backyardigans". The song? "I'm Not An Egg Anymore". Oh yeah, he's a newly hatched dragon.

A few cutesy pictures from Cute Overload.

First post?

I really should post in this journal...I don't even remember why I made it last August anymore. Maybe I'll just use it to post silly fun stuff and keep the serious over at LJ.

So I recently fell in love with Rent again (saw a post in ONTD). I went searching on youtube for videos and I came across some pretty good quality ones from the 10th anniversary concert. I'm sad I never got to see it on Broadway (and since it's closing this summer, I really will never see it).

Rent - Funny b/c Adam forgets his line.

One Song Glory - Just love it.

Light My Candle - This will always be my favorite song.

Another Day - Also has been a favorite.

And I won't link the video for Happy New Year. But it's hilarious in the beginning.

Can't you see how much I hate studying?
