First post?

I really should post in this journal...I don't even remember why I made it last August anymore. Maybe I'll just use it to post silly fun stuff and keep the serious over at LJ.

So I recently fell in love with Rent again (saw a post in ONTD). I went searching on youtube for videos and I came across some pretty good quality ones from the 10th anniversary concert. I'm sad I never got to see it on Broadway (and since it's closing this summer, I really will never see it).

Rent - Funny b/c Adam forgets his line.

One Song Glory - Just love it.

Light My Candle - This will always be my favorite song.

Another Day - Also has been a favorite.

And I won't link the video for Happy New Year. But it's hilarious in the beginning.

Can't you see how much I hate studying?

Yay Rent! Yeah, you should definitely go catch it before it closes, and stay with Jessica! I saw it in NYC by trying my luck at the lottery 2x. The first time I went home empty handed, but the second time I got the last standing room only ticket ($20 behind the right orchestra). It ended up being such a blast, more fun than having a seat, because I could move around to the music during the performance (I was also in peak standing condition because I was working all summer in the OR). And of course, original Roger and Mark <3 <3 <3

To Jess and Laura --

I want to try the lottery, but knowing me, I won't get it and I'll be super stressed out and be an annoying person :/. I think my biggest issue is I love the musical as much as I love the OBC. And I know the only way I could see the original cast is if I get tickets for the last show (which I'm guessing they'd all come back and do), which of course, is the day before a final. Many conflicts, school being the main factor, would stop me from visiting NY in the next couple of months Jess :( Though I really should, since I never have. Hopefully sometime in the near future! So basically, I'm very, very torn. But man, that sounds like an awesome experience Laura! I'm envious ;)
